After 16-year-old activity as a management consultant and executive for the areas of accounting Controlling and public procurement (national and international) in a North German industrial company Mr. Holst made the decision to make himself independent.
Originally Mr Holst wanted to make himself independent already in to the year 2000. At that time various national and international companies (primarily from the USA, Denmark and the former Soviet Union) had inquired him, whether he could assist them with their international cooperations. Their interest in Mr. Holst were in his abilities in offset business including Barter Trade, national and international pricing laws and cooperations. However, for reasons concerning labor laws Mr. Holst declined.
Seveal years later Mr. Holst was offered a position related to the procurement of informations and communication regarding a large-scale concrete project in the Ukraine in 2003. Mr. Holst rejected the offer, and suggested to the companies that his step-daughter, who lived in the Ukraine might be better suited for the position. In 2003 Mr. Holst's stepdaughter founded the consulting company Holst International Trade and business Development (HITD) in the Ukraine. HITD was very successful with this concrete supply project, the success procured HITD other consulting projects from small Ukrainian companies, which include very much economic contents.
Due this circumstance, she addressed her step-father in summer 2005 for help. After Mr. Holst left the North German industrial company at the end of 2005, he worked out a new concept which could do justice to the requirements. With this new concept Mr Holst founded in 2007 the business management support and consulting company
Holst International Trade/business Development and COMmunication,
in Germany.
